BRIEF HISTORY
MANEX Ltd. was established in Cracow, Poland in 1987 as a private-owned, limited liability company. The owners of the company were closely related from 1970s with Polish cable industry, in particular with designing and construction of technology lines and microprocessor control systems for cable industry.
At the beginning MANEX activities were carried out in one manufacturing plant – Cable Manufacturing Plant in Jaworzno – with only one own-design extruding line. The second extruding line was launched in March 1991. At that time the main products of MANEX were cable and wires destined for construction industry.
In 1992-2005 the large extension and development of the Jaworzno Plant took place along with construction of a new production hall and new office and social facilities. The present Cable Manufacturing Plant in Jaworzno includes the 700 m2 hall for production of electric cables and wires and the modern office and social building. Currently, in Jaworzno Plant, there are five modern, computer-controlled extruding lines.
By the end of 1997 MANEX bought from Alumina Smelting Plant in Skawina an industrial plot of the area more than 10000 m2 along with two buildings of the total area of 2700 m2. The buildings required a major overhaul and renovation in order to adapt them to the new function. Currently the Machine Manufacturing Plant and Copper Processing Plant are located in these facilities.
Next years brought further development of the company aimed at increase and diversification of its production. In 2014 MANEX invested in the new production and office facilities including a production hall and a building of the total area of 3300 m2 located close to the already existing facilities in Skawina.
The main headquarters of MANEX and its commercial office is located – since the beginning of 1990 – in the centre of Cracow.
It is worth mentioning that from 1995 till 2012 MANEX had the status of supported employment enterprises.
QUALITY AND RECOGNITION
MANEX meets all international and Polish standards and regulations related to its activities with regard to production quality, health, safety and environment protection. MANEX was granted with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certificate, IATF 16949. MANEX fulfills also the requirements of European Directives REACH, RoHS 2011/65/UE and the requirements of ECHA Agency.
MANEX have been engaged for many years in a number of engineering and technological projects initiated by Polish local and regional authorities and co-financed from European Community funds and focused on improving health, safety and environment protection.
MANEX has been awarded several times by Polish regional and national authorities with prestigious and recognized prizes and certificates such as Business Leader Award, Business Fair Activity Prize, Malopolska Voivodship Business Quality Prize, Well-Managed Company Certificate and many others.
